Intermediary Brainstorming Session - Updates and Next Steps

ThriveTogether partners brainstormed ideas to best engage seniors and individuals with disabilities with the Tristate Transportation Equitable Opportunity Team (TTEOT) on October 23rd. TTEOT is a group of more than 60 volunteers from a broad range of transportation providers and social service providers convened periodically by OKI with a goal to identify how best to serve the transit needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities. 

Several ideas were generated during this robust discussion. Based on their input and commitment to assist with facilitation ThriveTogether will be conducting the following activities through the 2024-25 winter season: 

Focus Group Engagement. ThriveTogether will work with EcoSenior group(s) in the region to conduct in-person focus group discussions. Steering Committee members will be tapped to help facilitate conversations centered on climate change to gain perspectives and evaluate potential CPA target settings. 

Virtual Event Engagement. Partnering with our Meals on Wheels providers who distribute tablets to recipients, the ThriveTogether partners will conduct a live virtual discussion embedded with a series of poll questions. A combination of live discussion and group polling will provide opportunities to gain participants perspectives on climate change.
