Community Advisory Group At West End
Groundwork Ohio River Valley in partnership with Green Umbrella and the neighborhood of West End engaged in a neighborhood climate planning workshop through their Community Advisory Group (CAG) of CSN. The 5 week workshop helped the residents to learn more about climate impacts and developed a resiliency plan. The CAG members were compensated to create neighborhood-level plans based on the existing environmental and socio-economic data to justify projects necessary for the community including air quality degradation, storm water flooding, and industrial activity, among others. The community members were trained through workshops on climate factors, health impacts, climate mitigation, and adaptation plans.
